FAQs

I’ve never been, whats expected of me?

Do you have seeds, bulbs, plants, pots, gloves, etc you’d like to share? YES

If possible, I’d GREATLY appreciate you dropping your donations off by Feb 28. As a thanks, you’ll receive 10 raffle tickets! This will help my daughters and I to sort everything and create a database for the local folks that choose to attend virtually.

If you are bringing seed not in its original package, please help us by labeling as much as you know:

  • Plant type

  • Variety if known:

  • Seed source: (company, or home garden)

  • Approximate date acquired:

  • Organic: y/n/unknown

  • Heirloom: y/n/unknown

  • F1: y/n/unknown

  • Special Notes: grew great, Prolific, or susceptible to mold...

Do you have seeds, bulbs, plants, pots, gloves, etc you’d like to share? NO

Then just show up!

What will the day look like?

When you arrive, please check in and grab any supplies you might need. Empty seed envelopes, pencils, etc. These will be available for purchase or you can bring your own. I encourage you to take only what you want to plant this year. If you know you only want 3 tomato plants, then perhaps only take 6-9 seeds. A typical pack of seeds has anywhere from 25-250 seeds so you can see why sharing is a great idea! While I have my favorite varieties, I always like to have multiple varieties to grow as well!

Chat, laugh and have fun! It’s been an exhausting year for many of us. Be sure to take the time and smell the proverbial roses. The kids will be baking and accepting donations for snacks and I’ve asked a few vendor friends to help out and offer their wares as well. We’ll have handmade jewelry, Enchanted Poppy Handmade Soaps & teas, and perhaps even a few tinctures and other fun stuff as well.

And lastly, I encourage you to make an afternoon of it! Feel free to bring a picnic lunch and find a spot as close (or distanced) from friends as you like and enjoy the day!

What kind of seeds will you have?

The short answer is … a lil bit of everything! And also - it greatly depends on what you bring. That said, I am fully ingrained into the hippy holistic mama world. And as such I expect there to be a lot of heirloom varieties, saved seed from ones own garden, various varieties of veggies, herbs and flowers and perhaps even some F1 hybrids for fun. (though I might be the only one guilty of buying those flowers!)

I’m also hoping people use this opportunity to clean up their growing rooms and share items that may be gathering dust but have lots of life left in them.
